Reiner Pump Systems, Inc. -
Newsletter - December 2003
Thank you! Through continued
support and by building valued relationships, Reiner Pump Systems has had its
best year ever. In fact, Reiner Pump Systems has experienced steady growth every
year since being founded in 1998. We also added a new salesman, Craig
Burmeister, in order to maintain the high level of service that our customers
demand and expect. His strong engineering background and dedication have made
Craig a great addition to the company.
Please see a brief summary
below of our news for 2003.
USEMCO (complete packaged
water and wastewater pump stations): We are proud to announce that we have been
named the number one Representative in the country for 2003! Usemco's excellent
products, engineering assistance, commitment to quality, overall support, and
service has made this accomplishment easy for us. Their newest product, the
'Elite', has been an instant success. The Elite is a complete pump station with
pumps, valves, controls, generator and automatic transfer switch installed in a
partial-bury, wet-well mounted, walk-in enclosure. Some recent projects: Elites
in
PATTERSON (water and
wastewater pumps): The recent 'no-flush' claims have proven true. Two of our
projects using our chosen 442 split mechanical seals with Spiral-Trac throat
bushing have been running perfectly. One of the projects has four Patterson
8x6YA horizontal split case pumps with 200HP motors. The pumps have been
running for over a year whereas the pumps previously needed new mechanical
seals every month or so (even with flush water!). We also saved the owner
thousands of dollars a year because they previously needed to buy city water to
provide flush water at 50 gpm. Patterson is unveiling a new close coupled
non-clog sewage pump this winter. NYCDEP is now specifying Patterson Pumps with
the 442 split seal and Spiral-Trac throat bushing, as well as, large Patterson
(Ludlow-Rensselaer) double disc gate valves (16"-90"). Recent
projects:
PUMPEX (submersible and
dry-pit wastewater pumps): Their new facility in
FLOWAY (vertical turbine
pumps): This is our first year with Floway and we have already started out with
a success at Boonton Water. We recently started up a 10" 50HP short set
VTP and a 16" 60HP VTP is scheduled to be installed shortly.
Differentiation in the VTP field is tough; however, we believe that Floway will
standout in the long run with their unmatched engineering expertise, customer
support, product quality, and on-time shipping. Their ongoing plant upgrade and
renovations are already resulting in shorter lead times. We are currently
testing their new web-based selection and catalog program. The program is
outstanding, providing quick bowl selection and an innovative general
arrangement drawing with choice of depths, heads, cans, bowls, etc. It will
only be available to select VTP users in the near future. Call or e-mail us if
you are interested in being a selected user of this web-based program.

TIGERFLOW (packaged water
booster stations): Tigerflow continues to set the standard for constant
pressure booster systems. Recent projects:
AQUAPOINT (modular wastewater
treatment plants): We just got our first Bioclere treatment plant order for the
INTERON (residential low
pressure grinder pumps): Things are getting really cheap in the residential
grinder pump market. However, Interon has remained competitive without
sacrificing quality. Interon continues to offer a superior product, has proven
reliable and is easy to install. Their innovative electronic control will soon
be available in a web-based version. Maintenance and alarm notification will
help both homeowners and service personnel. www.interoncorp.com
PJ HANNAH (Netting systems
and RBC's): We're excited to announce that we have just been named the new
Representative for PJ Hannah in the NY Metro area. PJ Hannah makes Netting
systems for floatables control which features their innovative 'Net Cassette'
installation and removal system. They also make RBC's and are very strong in
the RBC retro-fit market of all makes. www.pjhannah.com
